Are you looking for new ideas of how to celebrate Advent in your family? Join the SJB School and Blessed Carlo Acutis faith community to celebrate the 1st Sunday of Advent on December 3 from 5:00 - 7:00. There will be family friendly Advent activities and meaningful conversation! Please bring a dish to share that is traditional to your family and be ready to share about any special Advent traditions. This Thursday our playgroup is having a special parent and tot yoga class led by Bloom Yoga Studio. All caregivers and their little ones are invited to come join us for this class, you do not need to be an SJB family. Playgroup opens at 8 and yoga will start at 9. Bring a mat if you would like to participate in the yoga class.
Starting now through Friday, November 17, SJB will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items to be donated to families in need. There will be boxes in each building to collect items that students bring in or drop off at the main office.
Scholastic flyers came home last week and the classes are signed up to preview our Book Fair on November 8 and 9. A wishlist will come home with your student one of those days and then the Book Fair is open to families:
November 9 from 8-9am and 3-5:30pm November 12 from 10:45am-12:30pm On November 12 join us for Books & Bites - check out the Book Fair and buy some of the delicious food the 8th graders are selling to raise money for their DC trip. Our yearly school Halloween celebration is coming up! Held at the gym during the school day, please send students dressed in costume and prepare for them to come home laden with bags of candy and goodies.
Our biggest and classiest event of the year is happening in a few short weeks. Our Gala fundraiser is important to help grow and improve our school and make it the best it can be for our teachers and students. If you haven't bought your tickets already, you can purchase them here. You can also donate an items for our Auction here. We're still looking for sponsors as well, you can find the sponsorship from here.
Father Tom has started a Saturday morning running club for conversation and companionship while you exercise. Join him every Saturday at St Hedwig Church.
