This Friday we celebrate our 8th graders as they take the next step in their academic careers. We're so proud of all of them in what they have accomplished as students and as people and wish them the best of luck in their new chapter as high school students!

This year's field day is packed with fun activities including inflatables, tug of war, water balloon toss, popsicles and more. It's also a spirit wear dress down day for the kids. Parents are welcome to join for a picnic lunch between 11:30am-12:30pm on the front lawn.
All student athletes and up to 2 guests each are invited to celebrate our 2022-2023 athletics season in the gym on Tuesday, May 30. Guests can buy tickets here. There will be an awards ceremony, a video recap presentation of all our sports and a DJ for the kids after.
Music House is back for our final playgroup special class of the school year! In Music House Music and Movement Classes, children and their caregivers sing, dance, and explore musical instruments in a 45 minute structured class. The classes aim to foster familial bonding and love, while developing the child’s love and ability to make music. Music Together classes open up the world of music for your child through playful, developmentally appropriate activities. Best of all, kids and adults have lots of fun! Hope to see you there!
Glimmer is almost here! Don't forget to buy your tickets, get a sitter and find something to wear. It's a night of fun and FUNDRAISING in our school gym. If you haven't been to Glimmer before, make this the year you come, it's always a blast and raises money for our school!
The Altgeld teachers and staff have been busy planning ahead for next year, brainstorming upcoming ideas and initiatives and want to share it with you!
FOSJB is hosting a spring movie night, this Friday in the Church Hall. The parents and kids voted and the movie they picked is The Princess and the Frog. Bring your PJs, blankets, sleeping bags and favorite stuffed animals, pizza and snacks will be available for sale.
Please keep our Second Graders in your prayers as many of them make their First Communion this Sunday. They will be receiving the sacrament at St Hedwigs Church along with the Religious Education students. They have been preparing for this all year in their Religion class and appreciate all the support from their families and the SJB community.
Take a trip around the world without having to leave Logan Square! Each of our classrooms will be showcasing a different country - their food, their customs, their architecture, whatever makes that country unique. Grab a passport and come explore the world with the SJB school community!
