Saint John Berchmans is dedicated to helping all of our members grow in their faith. We joyfully offer the opportunity for all to participate in the Sacraments and in sacramental preparation.
Baptisms are offered once per month in Spanish (Saturday) and in English (Sunday). All parents must attend a preparation class prior to the baptism. The schedule for both classes and baptisms can be found in this flyer: baptism-schedule-2017-bilingual. You must be an active parishioner for at least three months before baptism can be scheduled at St. John Berchmans. All baptisms should be scheduled at least six weeks in advance. Baptisms during a Sunday Mass, or at a time outside the monthly schedule, must receive permission from our pastor. For more information, or to schedule a baptism, please call the parish office at 773-486-4300.

Congratulations on your engagement! These WEDDING GUIDELINES should help you as you begin the process of preparing as a couple for the Sacrament of Marriage and your wedding celebration at St. John Berchmans Church. The first step should be to contact our pastor, Father Wayne F. Watts to discuss the requirements, set a wedding date and begin the process. Father Wayne can be reached at email@example.com or by calling the parish office at 773-486-4300.
Saint John Berchmans offers Marriage Preparation seminars (PreCana) twice per year. This seminar will provide you with an all-inclusive and comprehensive appreciation and knowledge of the Vocation and Sacrament of Matrimony. Our goal is to present both the theology and the practical “tools” of Christian Marriage so you will come to a deeper understanding of how marriage is a participation in the life together here on earth. Information about upcoming sessions for spring 2017 can be found by clicking on this link: precana-spring-2017-flyer
