Students in PreK through 3rd grade have the opportunity express themselves creatively through dance classes.
Move and Groove-PreK students can participate in a "Move and Groove" class. "Move and Groove" is a class designed to teach young students to move to the beat of music while also teaching classic dancing techniques.
Ballet-Ballet classes, designed for students in grades K-3, teaches students basic ballet moves and techniques.
All dance classes at SJB are taught by ARCC Ballet.
Yoga class, offered for PreK and Kindergarten students, gives students a chance to relax after school and learn guided movements that help strengthen muscles.

Mandarin Chinese is taught through Multilingual Chicago and is offered for students in grades PreK through 5. Students who are enrolled participate in one class a week and will learn Chinese characters, phrases and songs. We are amazed by what our SJB students are learning and saying!
French will be taught as well this Fall by Multilingual Chicago and is offered for students in grades PreK through 5. Students who are enrolled participate in one class a week and will learn the French alphabet, along with phrases and songs.
Taekwondo, has SJB students learning discipline and tools to overcome challenges in life. Students are encouraged by the instructors from H.M.D Academy and are building their self-confidence as they learn.
Music Classes are offered for PreK and Kindergarten students through the Merit School of Music. Through singing, rythmic lessons and movement, children learn about basic musical skills and beats.
Chess lessons are offered through Chess Mavin, a program founded through University of Chicago graduates is designed to help students advance academic skills, memory, focus, and confidence through playing chess and having fun.
All After School Art classes are offered by SJB's full time Art teacher, Ms. Petie Russo. During classes, Ms. Petie encourages students to express themselves creatively through art and design.
Ms. Petie Russo will also be conducting a cooking class this Fall. Though planed preparation and execution students will learn the basics in the culinary arts in this program.
Students from grades 2-8 can come join the instructors from Robot City Workshop in this fun and challenging new way to learn about science. During this program students will learn the basics in robotics as they work together as a team to make a robot.
The Drama Club is offered through The Shakespeare All-Stars. Though the works of Shakespeare, they provide the students with the ability to find clarity in the text, improve reading and public speaking skills, and practice collaboration and cooperation as they rehearse and perform the works of Shakespeare.
