On Saturday, April 12, 2008, Saint John Berchmans School will host its 4th Annual Glimmer Auction. The theme this year will be Sweet Home Chicago, celebrating the food, music, and cultures of our wonderful city.
Last year our auction was a fun event and highly successful, exceeding the expectations of the committee. We raised over $75,000, and as a result, our school has been able to implement many improvements to both its infrastructure and curriculum. Highlights include two new libraries, a new art teacher, and a new science lab. For this, we thank everyone who has helped us in the past year!
Dress for the event is semi-formal and appetizers, sweets, wine, beer, and soda are included in the ticket price.
As one of our most important fundraising , each person in the community can help to make it a success. We have opportunities for everyone.
We need people to….
Do you know anyone that has tickets for the Cubs or owns a restaurant – we would love to have them donate tickets or a gift certificate.
All you need to do is have them fill out the Donation Contract and bring it to the office!
Sell Call Outs in our Catalog
The Auction Catalog will include all items available and business/personal call outs. Tell local businesses you visit, they can buy an ad in our book. It is a great way for them to advertise their services to our community.
On Friday, April 11, we need all hands on deck. Setting up tables, ironing table clothes, hanging decorations, making bid sheets, etc. are just a few of the ways that we need help. Let us know we can count on you by signing up or calling the school office.
Ask your boss
We are attempting to sell corporate sponsorships. Any company that donates at minimum $500.00 will have their name placed on our website, an ad in the catalog and their company name listed as a sponsor on auction signage. If you know of a company interested, contact the committee.
