Program Description

Kindergarten students are introduced to basic musical concepts through listening, singing, moving, and playing rhythm instruments. As students progress through each grade level to eighth grade, they continue to build upon this basic knowledge using the same methods of listening, singing, moving, and playing instruments. Among many things, students learn to read notes, compose rhythms, understand the workings of instruments, and the importance of composers and their music. The depth of study increases with each grade level.
