Program Description
We feature a brand new state-of-the art computer lab. Classrooms are equipped with internet access and new computers. Pre-Kindergarten students are introduced to the computer in their classroom. Students Kindergarten through Eighth Grade learn basic computer functions and work on various projects and research using P.C.’s and Windows Programs during their weekly Computer Class. Technology is integrated in the curriculum in each classroom.Main Themes/Skills
The following skills are addressed:• Keyboarding, including correct-finger placement
• Computer skills with age appropriate software
• Installation of programs
• Age appropriate writing and illustrating skills using Microsoft Word and other various writing programs
• Power Point presentations
• Age appropriate writing and illustrating skills using Publisher
• Internet instruction and research including proper usage
• Understanding computer terms and definitions
